Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Continues NFL Legacy

Son of Former Eagles Linebacker Signs with Philadelphia

Tackling Loss and Honoring Family History

Jeremiah Trotter Jr., the son of former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr., has signed with the team. The younger Trotter, a linebacker like his father, was selected by the Eagles in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft (155th overall).

Trotter Jr.'s journey to the NFL has been marked by both triumph and tragedy. In February 2023, his mother, Tammi, passed away after a battle with cancer. Despite this devastating loss, Trotter Jr. has remained focused on his football career, honoring his mother's memory and continuing the Trotter family legacy in the NFL.

Trotter Sr., a three-time Pro Bowler with the Eagles, played a key role in his son's decision to join Philadelphia. "I'm excited to have him here," said Trotter Sr. "It's a special moment for our family." The signing of Trotter Jr. also marks a rare occurrence in NFL history, as it is only the second time a father and son have played for the same team at the same position. The other instance was John and Harry Schuh, who played for the Baltimore Colts in the 1950s and 1960s.

Trotter Jr. is eager to prove himself on the field and make a name for himself in the NFL. With his father's guidance and the support of the Philadelphia faithful, he aims to carry on the Trotter legacy of hard-hitting play and unwavering determination.
