Mavs Injury Report: Doncic Out, Irving Questionable for Game 1

Doncic's Injury

Luka Doncic, the Mavericks' star player, injured his calf in the final minutes of Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Clippers. An MRI revealed a mild calf strain, and Doncic is expected to miss at least Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

Irving's Status

Kyrie Irving, who has been dealing with a quadriceps injury, is questionable for Game 1. He missed the final three games of the Clippers series and has not yet practiced with the team since the injury. Jason Kidd, the Mavericks' head coach, said that Irving's availability for Game 1 will be a "game-time decision."

Mavs' Outlook

The Mavericks will face a tough challenge in the Western Conference Finals, regardless of whether Doncic and Irving are able to play. The Phoenix Suns, their opponent, are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and have won four more games than the Mavericks this season.

However, the Mavericks have already proven that they can overcome adversity. They won the first two games of the Clippers series without Doncic, and they came back from a 3-1 deficit to win the series. If Doncic and Irving can return to the lineup, the Mavericks will be a formidable opponent for the Suns.
