Ollie Watkins fires England into Euro 2024 final with last-gasp winner against Netherlands
Substitute striker's late goal seals victory and sets up a mouthwatering clash with Spain in Sunday's final.
Ollie Watkins' stunning last-gasp winner fired England into the Euro 2024 final with a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Netherlands on Thursday.
The Aston Villa forward came off the bench to snatch a deserved victory for the Three Lions, who will now face Spain in Sunday's showpiece at Wembley Stadium.
England had taken an early lead through a fine Luke Shaw strike, but Steven Bergwijn's equalizer midway through the second half looked set to send the match into extra time.
However, with just seconds remaining, Watkins popped up to head home Bukayo Saka's cross and send England into raptures.
The victory is England's first in a major tournament semi-final since 1996, and they will now be dreaming of winning their first major trophy since the 1966 World Cup.
