Witnesses Describe Nurses’ Heroic Actions at Gadsden County Crash

Nurses’ Quick Thinking Saves Critically Injured Man

Two nurses driving separately witnessed a horrific multi-vehicle crash in Gadsden County, Florida on Wednesday and immediately pulled over to help. The nurses, identified as Rebecca and Ashley, described the scene as chaotic and distressing, with multiple cars involved and people trapped inside.

Responding to the Emergency

Rebecca and Ashley rushed to the aid of the most severely injured victim, a man trapped in one of the cars. They quickly assessed his condition and realized he had a critical head injury and was struggling to breathe.

"He was unresponsive and had a weak pulse," said Rebecca. "We knew we had to act fast to save his life."

Performing Life-Saving Measures

Using their medical knowledge, Rebecca and Ashley began performing CPR and manually ventilating the man. They continued for several minutes until paramedics arrived and took over his care.

"We just did what any nurse would do in that situation," said Ashley. "We were there to help, and we were determined to do everything we could to save this man's life."

Witnesses Praise Nurses' Heroism

Bystanders who witnessed the nurses' actions praised their quick thinking and selfless actions.

"They were like angels sent from heaven," said one witness. "They saved that man's life, no question about it."

Recognition for Nurses' Bravery

The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office has recognized Rebecca and Ashley for their heroism. Sheriff Morris Young praised them for their "courage and compassion" and said they were a "shining example of the good that can come from ordinary people doing extraordinary things."
